A smooth week?

For this week, me and my team shot a video titled "How to pick up a girl" and the video received a lot of compliments, from our lecturers, friends. Thanks to Vivian for helping us to be the actress in the video if wasn't her the video will not exist, we really appreciate it. Other than that, I even get compliments from my lecturer said that I am one of the best presenter in the class. This reminds me that hardwork really paid off because I keep practicing and keep improving myself on that specific area, and this week I made the second announcement in my life and this time is obviously better than the first announcement I made.

But actually not everything goes smooth on the first four day, because some silly reason I ignored someone and the person was pissed at me, I realise that I really did wrong so I manage to have an opportunity to apologise to the person and I took the opportunity, luckily the person forgive me. 

As this coming Sunday is Mother's Day, I hereby to wish all the mothers Happy Mother's Day.

Week 3

This week I really realize the true meaning of being yourself. In this week during lecture our lecturer Ms. Thinessha show us a video from YouTube titled "identity" in the video people are wearing mask instead of showing their real face. The lesson that I learned from the video is we must always be ourself, be the real us don't try to change ourselves just suit other. We need know that we are always the best.

The other incident that makes me realize the true meaning of being yourself is one of my best friend broke up with his girlfriend. They been together for 5 years, but until this week his girlfriend told him that she want a break from the relationship means to say a temporary break up, but my best friend think it is a nonsense and he can't take it, so he told her that he want to just end the relationship and his girlfriend did not expect he will take the initiative to say he want to break up as he treated her very well. With this incident, I saw my best friend being himself, know what is best for him and what is not. So in conclusion I think being yourself is very important in life if not you will suffer a lot more.

Awesomeness happening!

For this week, I learned about phonetics and it is interesting and funny though with how we pronounce it. After learning it our lecturer Ms. Thinessha give us an assignment which is to pronounce it on the spot in class is a bit challeging so wish me luck.

For this week, I think is more interesting to write what's happening in my college PORTMAN College. For me I think this week is one of day most happening weeks and also a historical week for PORTMAN College because this is the week that our College president Mr. Ernie Chen invited to have meetings with the world's largest glove producer, Top Glove to discuss about joining ventures. So we are looking forward for some awesomeness!

Hi my name is Clement, I am a student in PORTMAN College, currently I am studying Diploma in Business Management. I am now taking a Free Of Charge intensive English course which provided by the President of PORTMAN College Mr. Ernie Chen and here are the things that the lecturer Ms. Thinessha discussed and what I learned. In this few weeks time I learned a lot for example: the ABC of writing,"Accessible, Basic, Clear.", with these rules I can write better now. The next thing that the lecturer discussed is the Process Of Writing. The first step of writing is Prewriting. Prewriting is getting your idea down on a paper.  The second step is Drafting. Drafting is organising the idea into a logical format basically is just combining your ideas into a paragraph. The third step is Revising. Revising is to re-read back the paragraph to find out the grammar and also spelling errors. The fourth step is Editing. Editing is to erase and fix the errors from your writing. The last step of writing is Publishing. Publishing is when your product is finished and finalised and ready for all to see. The next thing that I learned is there are two categories of writing, poor writing and good writing. Poor writing is where the writer make tons of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. The next factor that categorise as bad writing is the writer use complicated and obscure words which makes the reader feel confuse. The next factor is the writer tell lies, the writer is not writing the real experience instead of they create a fake experience. The factor that categorise as good writing is the writer focus on the topic. The next factor is the writer will always re-read back the product and avoid grammatical and spelling errors.

In this intensive English course, there is also the tutorial section where the most interesting part of the class. In tutorial section, we get to do the very fun stuff for example: this is one the tutorial given by the lecturer, write a poem on the spot which about love, and after writing we need to present the poem in front of everyone. So here is the poem that me and my team wrote:

Love is like a rose full of thorns,

Love is full of obstacles,

Love can take away people's spirit,

Love can leave you, but scars always stays.

Love is blind,

Love can cover people's flaws,

Love can accompany each other through the night,

Love can create meaningful sceneries and memories.

Love is finding life partner,

Love must be build on trust,

Love must sustainable,

Love always start from friends.

By the way that is the first time for me to write a poem and also present it out. By doing this, I learned how to write a poem and also how to present a poem in front of a class. In tutorial section, we experienced to made our lecturer Ms. Thinessha angry because she put a lot of efforts to teach us but we did not take the class seriously and we did not do revision for the quiz and majority of us can't answer the question, after the incident we do our own revision before the quiz starts. With this few weeks time in intensive English course I really learned a lot, and there is more to come.
